 river bank Sisterdale, TX Another year come and gone. A personal good riddance to '08. Wasn't my favorite. I've gone into a bit of hibernation the last few months. Partly the hectic nature of the holidays and partly a creative freeze. A yearly occurrence that I expect from the past few years, but this one seems more solid. Nathan's becoming more difficult to photograph, and Shaye is a completely different child with lens issues. It's easy to put the blame on them getting older when in fact it's probably me. Expecting more from myself which in turn shuts me down. Of course the photographic aspect of it is simply a metaphor as I try to balance time and attention between the two. Either way I'm looking forward to the personal thaw over the next few weeks and months, anxious to see what it yields. A belated blog congrats to Crystal and her new arrival, Elizabeth Amy. | |
