And the Walls Came Tumbling Down

Houston, TX - West Pavilion Implosion, 4-image composite.

Nathan's final day of his summer stay with us started off with a bang. Several actually. We got up bright and early and went down to the Medical Center with Grandpa Black to watch Cherry Demolition implode the West Pavilion Professional Building (sweet, they have a clip posted!).
You can't beat that on a Sunday morning to get your blood (and testosterone) pumping.

I don't want to put a damper on what was a fantastic outing for the three of us, but I couldn't help but make a correlation as the 'controlled' dust cloud rolled down the street and slowly billowed past us, covering us in fine powder. Obviously not even close in comparison what with our face masks, ear plugs, food, drink and clarity of the situation, but unnerving nonetheless.

A huge thanks to Grandpa for getting us on the guest list and giving us a morning to remember.
