![]() Hempstead, TX Happy Father's Day to all the cool dads I'm proud to know. Will, Tread, Bill, Chris, Phil and Shawn just to name a few. Everybody has a story and now's not the time for mine. Suffice it to say I'm eternally grateful to have the chance to be a dad to my son, and I can't wait to be there for my daughter. I spent the first couple of years worrying about breaking all of grandfather's bents in regards to my son. Will I be a good dad? Will I make the same mistakes my father did as I try so hard not to? Forget all that. Just be there. The minute I stopped worrying and just started being, doing what felt totally natural, was the moment everything changed. In no way am I perfect and I still worry a bit. There will always be ups with their corresponding downs, but I'm living with no regrets. My son and I have a tremendous bond, one I feel truly blessed to be a part of. A bond I pray to carry through to the end. So Happy Dad's Day to those I've mentioned, those I've missed, my father-in-law and to my dad. He won't see this but I'll tell him all about it. - The third issue of Lightleaks is ready for order. It's chock-full-o-blur. | |
